Engine 642Engine 642 Arrives on the Scene

Engine 642 (E642) is the newest piece of apparatus at the Winthrop Station. The engine was supplied by General Fire Apparatus in Spokane ,Washington. The basic engine is a Spartan Custom Pumper chassis and cab with a Centurion body assembled by Central States Fire Apparatus. E642 is the first line of duty engine for fires within the Town of Winthrop and provides rescue response service for vehicle accidents throughout District 6.

  • Interior seating for 4 firefighters (3 seats outfitted with SCBA packs)
  • Intracab communication headsets
  • Cummins 365 hp diesel engine and automatic transmission
  • 1500 GPM Waterous pump
  • 750 gallon water tank
  • Foam Pro A and B foam system
  • Articulated deck monitor with fog and stacked nozzles
  • 35 ft extension ladder, 14 ft ground ladder, 10 ft attic ladder
  • Full compliment of 1 3/4, 2 1/2, and 5 inch hose systems
  • Full compliment of vehicle stabilizing and extrication tools
